About Us

The OU Equestrian Team seeks to create an affordable and welcoming riding experience for University of Oklahoma students. Coach Samantha Powell fosters high ideals of horsemanship to riders by providing weekly instruction and participation in numerous competitions with the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA Zone 7 Region 2). The OU Equestrian Team is unique in the fact that students, with or without riding experience, are eligible to join the team.
